The music of today has endured a long and bumpy road. The evolution of pop music has taken many twists and turns to end up where it is today. From the up-beat tunes of early singers to today’s teeny bopper beats, pop music has always kept its energy even though at times it came from manufactured sources.
In the beginning, pop music started as a girl singing in front of the mirror with her microphone hair brush and male ensembles practicing in the garage. As the genre became increasingly mainstream, pop music became a production line of cookie-cutter products. Big-time music executives were scouting the streets for bright talent and meshing strangers together to forcefully create harmony. As with most trends, this form of music-making only last a few years. Reality shows, contests and other inorganic forms of music compilations are on a downward spiral as the general public is tired of fake music. True artist that write their own material, have created their own unique sound and have their own vision of their musical future are on the rise. Innovative sounds and fresh appeal is hot at the moment. The general public wants more music and less money-making fluff.
