Decide on Size: Whether you choose a quartet, a duo or even something unusual like a guitar and a violin pair, your string assortment should be determined by size. Consider hiring at least one musician for every 50 people in attendance.
Talk to the Venue: Speak to your venue about what kind of space will be available for your string group – do they need a hard surface for an outdoor ceremony? How about amplification equipment? These are some things you don’t have to worry about on the big day.
Talk Songs: Most accomplished string groups can actually play a variety of contemporary songs with their classical instruments lending a more casual vibe to your affair. Decide on some great song you love and some classics you have to have then talk it over with the band members.
